Overview of the posting rules & guides
Behavior and etiquette
There is a level of maturity that exists within Turtle Talk and we expect it to stay that way. Everyone who participates and offers advice does so in his or her own free time; and this participation is fundamental to the development of this forum. We anticipate people to act and respond in a civil manner - there is no tolerance for written and verbal abuse and harassment of any type. Inappropriate posts/topics, out of topic posts, cross posting, spamming, pestering and anything with a malicious or illegal intent are not permitted. Do not take warnings lightly.

Before you post
Search the forum for answers regarding questions or problems you may have before you post a question. Reading and searching can resolve most questions new turtle owners have. Read the primary site, redearslider.com, which contains a lot of information that can offer insight into the care of your slider.

Many illnesses and injuries are preventable with proper care. If you feel your turtle needs urgent care, you should take him/her to receive qualified care immediately. Delays and excuses can increase the magnitude of injury or illness your slider may experience.

What to post, where to post and what not to post
You can post any topic so long as it is in the appropriate forum category and the content is not offensive. Replies to topics should remain relevant to that topic - do not post randomly. Do not post the same topic/question multiple times and do not bump up your own topics. Do not make any posts offering to sell turtles and/or equipment. It is simply not permitted.

The moderators and members do their best to offer help and everyone should show restraint and patience. Again, respectful behavior is expected from everyone.

Failure to comply will lead to signature removal, restricted account access and possible suspension. You may request an exception regarding this rule, provided there is an explicitly valid reason.

Problems and issues on this forum
If you have a problem with another user, it is recommended that you resolve it between yourselves. Ask a moderator for help only if another member breaks the Posting rules & guides. If it is a personal issue, we suggest that you let it go or ignore it. No one should be asked to intervene regarding these issues.

Actions we may take

Serious offenders may face limited access, suspension, a banned account, a banned IP address, notification to your Internet Service provider or educational institute and/or notifications to applicable local and federal authorities.
