Well I'm sure he's dead, but just in case, I wrapped him up and put him in the freezer to make sure. I'm going to bury him later.

He's limbs arn't stiff, but when I turn him upside down, his head just plops that way instead of staying stiff like it should.

No, he's not seperated because I didn't have anough money to get another heater and stuff.

The other one is thriving.

Dead Turtle?

My Nicaraguan is limp, eyes closed and doesn't respond. Outer edge of shell is soft. He's dead right? I'm actually quite mad at Paul V. for sending me a turtle who wasn't in good shape. He was sick when he arrived and he was covered in Alge. I think I should have at least been warned about that. Sho...

My tank is only filled 1/3 of the height with the water so I'm not worried about it right now. If worst comes to worst, I'll buy a new 15 gallon until they reach a good size to join my RES in the pond.

It's only 15 gallons. It wasn't a very large snake.

I'm using a terrarium I bought for my snake.

Before I used it for the turts, I filled it with water to the top and let it sit for a week and it was fine.

Stock Tank

Does anyone know where I could purchase a stock tank in the Los Angeles area? I saw the links for the farming websites in the sticky but I have a feeling shipping is quite high on them.

I am looking for preferbly a rubbermaid one. Between 150 Gallons and 300 Gallons.

He basks and eats a lot.

I noticed while I was brushing the Alge of his shell, which I haven't got all of yet.

Outer rim of shell soft.

I have never noticed this before, but the outer rim of my 1 1/2 inch. Nicaraguan's shell is soft.

Is this a shell problem or is it because he is so young?

Land and water snails breed all the time except for winter. When they breed, they can have up to 50 eggs. I had a land snail have over 60 eggs once.

And they breed with who ever they want since they're asexual(neither male nor female)

Ok thanks. Last night I adjusted the light to 90 degrees, and he woke up and started to eat and swim.

He was like that today as well so I believe it was just a heat issue.

He's still not 100% though, almost.

It would look nice, but not very natural. But your turtles won't mind, I say go for it!
