Would anyone recommend a 40 gallon breeder over a 55 regular if Meeko is currently an inch? I definitely plan to take advantage of their sale:)

Yes, I think the 40gal breeder is a much better tank since it is wider (18"). This gives the turtle more swimming room when it gets bigger and would feel less cramped than the narrower 13" width of the 55gal. The long, tall and narrow tanks are better for fish since it keeps them more spread out lengthwise and easier to view from the front. That's not an issue with keeping a turtle.
