I know this might sadden some of you but I need to get rid of my turts.

This is what I have, one female and one male, got them when they were babies on April 07, the female has outgrown the male in almost twice the size, the male keeps fluttering but the female ignores his advances, although they seem to get along and never fight. I have a 70 gallon tank with a marineland magnum 350 canister filter, dock, both UVA and UVB lights, some rocks and ornaments and I can throw in a 30 gallon tank with a small filter and a heater...

I don't plan on "selling" the turts but I would like to make some money off the equipment... Anyone in the Houston area who might be interested in making a deal? Contact me at binaural42@hotmail.com

Help a friend or family member adopt your turtles. A good start would be with the setup.. good luck.

Shipping to NJ not only sounds complicated, but expensive as well...

What about the turts? How do you ship them?

It's not a good idea to ship turtles that far, especially with the weather cooling down.

You'd be wiser to try and find someone local.
You can try posting an ad and sifting through the responses. Don't be afraid to ask them a lot of questions to make sure you find the right homes for your turtles.

In case you need a little more info on how easy it is to drop off unwanted turtles with the gctts.

fron the site....

Turtles and tortoises can be brought to one of our drop off locations. Make arrangements to drop off your turtle or tortoise preferably through the GCTTS email at: info-L@gctts.org or the GCTTS toll free Hotline (866-99-GCTTS) if email isn't possible. We will provide you with contact numbers for the listed drop off people (excluding Marlaina) and you can arrange for a drop off with one of them.

Any equipment, foods, etc, donated with the turtle(s) or tortoise(s) are appreciated.
