I just got a new tank stand from PetCo and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a cheap stand. They have all sizes, up to 90 gallons. I got one for my 55g tank on sale for $99.99 (normally $119.99). They have really good reviews on the PetCo website. I put mine together this evening and it only took about an hour. It seems very sturdy.

Not to bump an old thread, but just thought I would show you what the stand looks like as I just got everything all set-up tonight (keep in mind this is NOT my turtle tank). The stand has 2 doors in the front that are flush with the front and use spring magnets to open/close.

Does the stand have top? The stands at my petco are just the sides for the tank to rest on with no top. I was looking into getting a bigger stand then my current tank and just putting it on the stand so when I upgrade I don't have to get a new stand.

Yes, it has a top. The only part it doesn't have is a back. It has a center support in the back but no back panel. I don't think they have these stands in the stores, just online.
