Today my old guy almost gave me a heart attack! I've never seen a RES penis before and I certainly didn't think it could look anything like that!

He is spending most of his time in front of a mirror lately and the last I've checked on him, he was in a relaxed position, with his tail curved under, his back legs rubbing against his tail.
I've noticed something black coming out and I thought he just had an extremely large poop. It became bigger and then I finally took him out and touched the thing and it was soft! I thought, for sure, that he has an intestinal prolapse and my heart stopped. But then, he pulled it all back in and I thought it might be his penis. And I've checked and found this photo.

My god! How crazy is that!

I guess it's a good sign though... Tiny is feeling really good in his new home.
I should change his name... Not so Tiny after all.

Oh god I'm glad my boys are still little . They're only 3 inches long BUT I'm pretty sure tthere both males . With the fact that they're claws are like almost half as long as of their legs lol . And then my Mississippi Map who I ordered as a male. The claws aren't too long on "him" so it's got me wondering lol . I'm glad I know what a turtle penis looks like so I don't freak when I do see it for the first time lol .

I'm just kidding. Jokes aside, this is also my first time seeing a male turtle's genital being exposed, and as you have showed it appears to be attached to the tail. THAT IS HUGE! Now I (somewhat) hope that my turtles turn out to be female though ...
