Posted: Sat May 28, 2005 1:10 pmi was wondering how big that basking area was ? i saw them yesteryday at big al's but if my cork fails to hold up my heavy turtle i will have to buy one of those basking areas with the suction cups ... my turtle is 9" so if u could tell me the length and width of the basking area in your pic it could give me an idea of what should i do
Posted: Sat May 28, 2005 6:17 pmI use the medium sized ZooMed dock for my approximately 7 inch male. He fits on there just fine and it doesn't sink in the water when he climbs on.
It is 10.5 inches long with a 4 inch ramp into the water, and is 7 inches wide.
The large ZooMed dock is 9 inches wide by 18 inches long.

It sucks that they don't make them any bigger than that. A few more months and I'm going to have to be VERY creative.
