Yes, steve, that's why I mentioned that closer supervision is really needed. That goes to all turtle-owners out there. I recently read a thread that a turtle died because she can't flip herself back (I think it was starscream's turtle).
Kamekichi, she's 3.15 inches now. I consider her growth slow (last year she was just 3 inches), because I have streamlined her diet (the margins on her scutes were big last year and she seemed a bit fat). There are bulging flesh on her feet and arms, so I lessened the pellet intake (once a day) and increased her veggies. Still waiting for her to shed, though there are thin,small scutes that comes off every once in a while.
