Hey guys! Been a while since I went here.... The busy life of a student as we say.... Anyways, my RES, Iggy and Mocha will be having their first birthday in a month's time! Yay! XD
By far, they are the only pet that didn't die on me after I got them. Other pets (birds and fishes) always dies within 2 to 3 months.... TT___TT
So here's a pic spam of them sleeping on their basking area!

Iggy is on top so that makes Mocha the one on the bottom.

Caught this picture when I was doing my assignment on my laptop. I can't resist the cuteness and so I have to take a picture of them! I was worried for the first few months after I got them coz I don't have a basking lamp or a UVB lamp! Then after I got a basking lamp, I was worried about their UVB lamp coz they are always out of stock! But thankfully, I was able to buy one today coz my usual pet store re-opened at a new location and they have UVB lamps! Hooray for Pets Wonderland! :D

And for almost a year I got them, I thought Mocha was a girl. But since his claws start to get longer and Iggy's doesn't, I assume Iggy is the girl and Mocha is a boy. Then I have my answer.... BOTH ARE BOYS! Coz I saw their private part coming out recently.....

And to close my returning to this forum, here's another pic spam of my boys! XD

As usual, Iggy on top, Mocha at the bottom.....
This picture pretty much reminds me of some kind of stacked burgers....

Welcome back! It looks like they are outgrowing their enclosure a little. Have you thought about upgrading to a larger space with more water?

Yeah, I did. I just need to arrange my money, that's all.... Just a temporary one though because I'm currently staying at my college's hostel. I'll get them a proper home once I come back from my studies~ :D
I'm planning to get them a big plastic container (Rubbermaid?), an extra lamp for their uvb light and a bigger basking area. I saw someone in the thread used Lego to make a basking area so I might try that out to save my money~ :P

Very cute! You don't need a glass tank, storage containers can do real well as homes.

Btw i noticed that glass tank until 60cm is comparably cheap as those toyogo clear container.
It does heavy and need to be more careful.

And also legoland in johor bahru sells lego parts @100grams.
You can get those plate shape and ladders. I only bought 4ladders damned. Should have take 10 :)

Mukyo I really love your pictures. Additionally I was wondering if you could put together a breakdown of your tank. It has hoses everywhere, directional lines and lego's everywhere. I would love to know the details, I am sure other would as well

Its actually in ny mini budget tank post . In my signature.
But basically i use 3 spraybar out from my canister. So the outflow is softer and it covers bottom corner puahing all poo to my intake :).
The one on top is to move the surface. In that version i useback my previous internal filter motor playing around with fountain spray. Dont really like it though. :D
I am still trying to grow moss on a lego. Epic fail so far :'(

@ Mukyo, Yes! Lego! It was you that I saw around here with your lego basking area! :D Thanks so much for the inspiration! Wow, legoland Johor bahru? That's kinda far away, I'll try searching at the local toy store. I hope it's not that expensive seeing that these lego is getting popular nowadays....

@steve, Thanks! ^^ I just bought them a 13 Gallon storage container and another basking lamp for their UVB light with their first tank as temporary basking platform. Mocha seems to be enjoying it! I just have to find an extension to use their UVB light, there's only 2 sockets in my hostel room; one for my laptop, one for their basking lamp.... :?

@apondfortimmy, thanks! ^^

@allthecandies, yes! I call them 'Burger Stack Brothers'!

Np :)
Btw my legos are actually stick to the wall using very strong small magnet.
These magnets are not available anywhere afaik.
Likewise they will float. And getting them to sink or stay at one plce is quite painfull.

Other solutions can be made creatively from daiso those one dollar 100yen shop.
Else go hardcore with stuffs diy fron hardware shop. Pvc stuffs.
