When I looked in my turtle tank this morning, I noticed some little squiggly white worms. I looked more and noticed bazillions of little squiggly worms. I was immediately freaked out and disgusted and poured some iodine in the tank, which may not have been the best idea, but it made them all die. My turtles are completely fine, it wasn't that much iodine. It was actually povidone-iodine solution, so it's pretty benign.
ANYWAY, my friend helped me purge the tank of the wormy menace.
Everything went incredibly well and my tank looks great. Also, the new set up gives the turtles more room to swim and grow and do turtley things. All in all, this was a success.
Here are some pictures of the tank and the turtles being cute

it keeps the basking dock in the mid 80's, some times warmer depedning on the weather. it's a 50 watt infrared bulb and it works awesome. i leave it on 24/7. it pretty much never gets turned off. and it lasts for months.
