I will. I'm going to look around again before dark, I'm going to check in the morning, around noon, afternoon, and again at night every day for a while.

Thank you. I hope I do too, this is the worst feeling ever. In the mean time, I've got a four inch turtle, 3 inch turtle, and 1.5-2 inch turtle in a 55. Over crowded? I think yes. :(

They are probably still around, but it will be difficult to locate them. Can you provide a wider view?

What do you mean by a wider view?

Went to Petsmart and got a medium basking platform to go with the small one, bamboo, anacharis, adult turtle food for the two new ones. I tested cucumber with the new two after reading it was safe, and they took a few bites. I may try some lettuce today.

Here's some pictures of the new basking area.

The wire is folded up so there are no sharp edges. The plastic plant is so they feel more secure. :)

Think positive. They escaped and are in a nice big pond somewhere. Keep looking but you might not find them. Sorry:-(

I highly doubt I will find them. But I'm sure they are okay. There's always more and more rescues on craigslist.

Do you guys think there's any way I could put all three outside to play in the grass without losing them?

That's not really rude.
But okay. I'll probably take the biggest one out tomorrow for a bit and then the next biggest and finally the smallest. Depending on weather and outside temp of course.

Have you ever considered that you might be hording? One turtle is ok then you wanted another from your teacher then you asked what kind to get. Then you get five? Stop! Your out of control. If your parents won't tell you I will. Your getting in over your head!

Hording? Uh. No. I wanted the ones from my teacher because he has no idea what he's doing. I talked to my mom long before I got the five and we agreed if we saw any that were in need of a better home we would provide that home.
Don't post on my thread, telling me what I'm doing, unless you know the absolute whole story, you know me in real life, or you've known me my whole life.
I'm perfectly capable of making my own decisions, I'm not a 8 yearold child who see's a "pretty" turtle and says "mommy mommy I need FIVE of them"

That post, was rude. And in case you haven't realized, I only have three now.

hoard
2

[ hôrd ]

verb

present participle: hoarding
1.
amass (money or valued objects) and hide or store away:

"thousands of antiques hoarded by a compulsive collector"

synonyms: stockpile · store · store up · stock up on · put aside · put by ·

More:

2.
reserve in the mind for future use:

"a year's worth of hoarded resentments and grudges"

I'm pretty sure I'm not "hiding" or "storing away" turtles. They are well kept after and loved dearly.

And also, you are saying I'm "hording", but you have four turtles, don't you?

Good point. I guess hording was not the proper term. It just seams to me like you can't have enough turtles. Yes I do have 4 turtles and they are a lot of work. It takes a lot of time to properly care for a lot of turtles. I'm only supposed to have 3 but the breeder I bought one from thought it was cool to send me 2. They all have individual needs a lot like children and take up a good amount of time every day. I just hope you know what your getting yourself into.
