This is what i bought my poor little sammy in, and unfortuntely if I wouldn't of done research or found this site I might of left him in that not knowing any better :(

the container in the first pic should only be used to transport little guys home from the pet store, and that's it.

Your off to a very good start though! Sammy looks happy! Good stuff!

sweet. He looks really happy.

I've often wondered about one thing tho. Why would the pet store employees send you home with $10 worth of stuff, when they could sell you the right setup and make a ton more money off people?

well i bought him at a local flea market for 6$, and they had a bunch of turtles in that, with a bag of pellets for a dollar more. They also put lizards in cases like that and sell it to anyone i watched them sell a lizard to a kid that was no more than 10 years old.

I keep crickets in a bigger container than the one he was brought home in. He does look like he's enjoying himself. (How's the abcess doing?)

Much better! thank you for asking Marisa, you can't even tell where it was, I'm following the docs orders with the daily water change and the betadine, so hopefully it doesn't come back so there wont be any need for antibiotics :D

it's a 10 gallon tank since he's still a little guy, but I plan on upgrading in the near future.
