No problem. I like them when they get dark, too. I've photo-oped some, so it makes clearer photos, so thats not all their natural color, but they are still a pretty green!

haha thanks! I used to be the one trying to find everything and the one asking for advice instead of the one who gives it. But we've all been there haven't we? I'm good at fitting things into my budget. See...not all those plants I bought at a store...some I cut out in the back from moms fake plants-shhh! and im a rubbermaid tub person. we'll get a tank when we really need one. lol.
omg squirtle is such a cutie! and has a cute name. i wish i was as creative when naming sam and nelly...haha but the name fits.

samandnelly,
You may have solved my inadequate housing issue. I live in Italy, but I am sure I can find a rubbermaid container. What about the other items? WJat type of filter are you using? Did you use suction cups for the thermometer?? Sorry for soooo mnay questions, but with your assistance I believe I can set up a decent place for bright eyes and bob

Here are two simple pictures of the tank. The top one is a view of the whole thing..nothing too fancy. The second picture is one I took looking in/down into the tank. That's their pretty log I bought for them. I'll try to get better pics another time. I'm thinking on getting a backdrop or something for the tank so they have something to look at. What do you guys think...suggestions are welcomed.

I'm not sure whether or not your filter can handle this, but I'd fill it up. It will give them plenty of swimming space, and the basking light seems a bit far away. What are you thinking in terms of a basking area? Are you going to build one, or buy one?
