Ok, so I was bored today (being a Sunday and all) so after posting up last night my old tank set up, I have finalized the new one.
I went walking down by the river today, and got lots of stones, so the cost for new substrait $0. Since I saved so much, I went out and bought a couple more plants.
Well here is the new set up for Sheldon, his feeder guppies, and the pleco. Let me know what you think!

Beautiful! That's nice that you live close to a river.

BTW that's an awful big cube of blood worms for such a little guy. Those things can really foul up the tank water if they don't get eaten up.

it's not bloodworms, it's tubifex worms. He eats most of it.... and the 30 guppies in there clean up the rest. It's all gone within about 10 minutes. I've never had a water issue, always been clean, always passed the water quality test at the pet store. Plus it looks big in the pic, but it's only about 2 millimeters thick, as it's been squished onto he glass.

Those rocks look nice, but you only need a few. When I had my bottom covered all the debris accumulated into brown sludge compacted gross stuff so now I only have a few, though, if it stays clean or you don't mind the cleaning then I guess it's fine.

I clean it religiously... I don't like the look of a bare bottom, needs to be covered. Even easier, is the next tank is going to have bottom filter.... to avoid that issue overall!

It's really beautiful. Sheldon must think he's in turtle paradise.

He makes those flower pots look enormous! But he'll grow!

Oh I see now. :) I thought it was one of the frozen blood worm cubes. Boy those baby turtles can really eat! :D

yah, I was going to get those cubes, but they're definatly too big! So when i go get some, I'm opting for the sheets so I can break off peices as I need them!

Looks very nice! Did you remove the hard backing off that cuttlebone? I could never get such big pieces after removing the backing. I'd also be aware that he might have an opening for escape by the basking area.

Has he been eating any of the plants?

I got most of the backing off, just a small peice in the middle, will work on that when he chews closer to it. Yes he eats the plants a bit, but makes my life easier, I don't have to worry about putting lettuce in there. Trust me, he can't even reach the edge of the tank right now. no way he's getting out at the moment. I'm going to get a screen when he'sa bit bigger.

Just curious if the turtle ended up eating the pleco. I didnt have a pleco in my tank with my turtle for more than a day and a half before she ate him right up.

nope, it's been a coupl months now I think, and the pleco is still there... I planned it right though. The turtle was only 11/2 inches, so I got a 2 1/2 inch pleco, the pleco i now 4 inches and the turtle is about 2-21/2 so as long as the pleco stays bigger we're good... and he's supposed to grow to about 12 inches, so it should be good.
