Ok so I was just sitting on the floor next to Pickle's tank, and he swam down to look right at me. So I put my finger against the tank so he could follow it. He follows my finger all the time. This time he did something I never saw him do, he squished himself up against the glass and fluttered at my finger. (I've seen him flutter at his reflection and stuff, but not AT me) I didn't get ANY sleep last night, so I thought this was hilarious. I wish I had had a camera because it really did look funny, he had his nose smooshed into the corner and his "hands" in front of his face...
Well I was laughing at him and wondering if he was fluttering to say he thought my finger should get the heck out of his territory, or if he was fluttering to say he wanted to get to know my finger better...
Well just about then, as if to answer my question, he got a little 'overstimulated' shall we say? And I saw his turtle-man parts. At this point I couldn't STOP laughing. I wonder if I embarrassed him? LOL he didn't SEEM embarrassed, he just went on waving IT at me
Obviously I think this is humorous, and I just had to share.
Anybody else's turtle act like this?

My turtle flutters at my finger all the time. Does that mean she wants to mate then?

more so when a turtle really loves something, it looks like they are rubbing their head instead of just vibrating.

but sometimes mine just puts his claws to his head, seems like hes being careful, incase he needs to flutter at something lol

Well he was pushing up against the glass if you call that rubbing and his claws we right against his face when he vibrated them at me.... But the part that made me think he "loves" me rather than "hates" me was when he FANNED at me. Unless he was trying to use that thing to scare me away, cause it IS pretty FREAKY looking! LOL.

George flutters at my finger all the time and I know it's love because she follows it around. Believe me, she is quite skilled at hiding. But sometimes I do wonder. ..you DO know the finger is attached to me, the giant, right?
