Can you help ID this turtle?

This is a friend's turtle, Tyson. He was also found with the crawfish and *rescued*. He's a liiiiiitttle on the bite-y side.... we want to know what kind he is so we can better care for him and know what to expect. Gets along with my friend's slider so far. TIA :mrgreen:

I'm leaning towards a Yellow Bellied Slider. I'm not an expert, though. Let's wait for the others. :)

I'm pretty sure that's some type of mud or musk turtle, probably an eastern mud turtle. Pretty handsome one at that! Congrats!

Yeah i would say mud turtle i see them all the time in are pond

Mississippi Mud turtle. Those two yellow lines going across the head make it a dead give away

Wc can be nippy like any wc turtle but cb are fine
