I have 2 Res, a 3 1/2yr female, Rita, and 1yr boy, Franklin. Rita has always been a climber, and lately all she wants to do, especially in the morning is climb out of her tank. We built an out of tank basking area, above her tank, and we just upgraded to a 75 gallon tank, which is almost full. She still tries desperately to climb out of the basking area every morning! I thought maybe she was gravid, but I haven't been able to feel for eggs. She has such an attitude. I got a large tub, and filled it with organic dirt, and tried putting her in that when she is trying to climb out, but all she does is try to climb out if it too. Shes not digging with her back legs, at least not a lot. Water tests fine, basking area temp and water temp are monitored and fine as well. She eats well, too. Ya think its just her personality? She is NOT shy, and will bask and climb when I'm right there with her.

How long is "lately"? Is she zoned out, meaning she doesn't pay attention to you or food?
