So hey guys as you may have read in my previous posts I've been trying to get a new turtle tankmates for my RES their about 3 inches and this place called big ALS is selling stripe necked mud turtles for 100$ and it's my birthday in December I was wondering if a 1.5inch stripe neck can be with a 3 inch red eared slider just wondering as I want my res to have some new friends

Not sure about the turtle? Sounds like you already have your hands full with the 2 you have. Just noticed you say in your Sig "all living things day bulb" Is that the only bulb you have for your turtles?

Plus you will likely have to separate male RES and they might be a little to small to tell yet. I would think about land turtles or lizards.... or just a bigger tank

Heh heh heh anyways I got a bigger tank already 55 gallon forgot to update and now I have a UVA and UVB bulb and in December I'm just gonna get a 400 gallon stock tank in my basement it'll be a lot easier since I got this waterfall system I'm building that'll be their new basking area or they can bask on the turtle dock anyways got everything planned for December but I'm gonna get a better heater aswell but I think I'll get some DBT in a smaller stock tank I have and add some aquarium salt and add a lot of tiny caves then add the fish mollies but question can ghost shrimp be in salt water thanks baiii!

No, a stripe necked musk turtle is not a good tankmate for RES. they have different living requirements, and res get almost 3 times the size. Turtles in general do not need 'friends', they are not social animals and only really need company when mating.

We'll I was just thinking of getting a new species :/ anyways when I get the money I would separate them but the res will just go in a waterland tub I will try to get and stuff
