Has anyone given their turtles toys to play with in their tanks? My turtle's tank is very boring, only rocks for a ramp set up and only 6" of water. I don't have any money right now to buy decorations for him.
Can he play with a rubber ducky?
These are the kind that I have:

I know some people have given things for their turtle to play with and they more or less like to attack it. Not exactly sure if the turtle would go for a duck, as it depends on the turtle. He might not care at all its there.

Best toys are the edible type, like feeder minnows.

What about some type of ball he can poke and move around? Either something that floats or sinks at the bottom of the tank?

Thanks dumbork14! I read through those threads.

I don't have enough water in my tank right now to add live fish just yet. In order to add more water, I'd have to figure out a better way to create a stable basking area. At the moment, Sheldon has 6" of water in his tank and a pile of rocks that make a ramp up towards the lights on one side. That's just enough for him to move around and swim a bit and climb the rocks if he pleases.
