We had a huge pleko in tank with my guessing 6-7 year old res and pleko was about same age. He was eaten/died awhile back and have since tried two other plekos which unfortunately met their demise. Now his tank is so hard to keep clean, need ideas of a tank mate he wont eat. Large plekos are VERY hard to find and his tank is in my kids room and after about a week it stinks so bad.... any suggestions would be great. .... thanks
Hi, I think you double posted by mistake. A pleco will not keep your water clean, in fact, it will only make your water quality worse, they're poop machines. Can you tell us a little bit about your set up? Size tank, filtration, how often you do water changes etc. Then we can help you out. Your tank shouldn't smell at all.
