I use pure ammonia in a fish less tank to start the cycle. BEST way to cycle a fish less aquarium.
Of course a teat kit is suggested. I can't remember exactly how much ammonia to use but it works amazing. Using the test kit in less than a month the aquarium will be perfectly ready to introduce fish.
Sounds crazy but it works. You can buy ammonia at Walmart.

Location: Ottawa, ON, Canada

Turtle: RES about 6-8months old
Tank Mates: Mystery Snails, Peacock Eel, 2 cichlids
Habitat: 55 gal, UVA & UVB lighting, Live Plant and high volume filter
Diet: Pellets, jello shots (wont eat veggies :()

There's nothing I can do at this point. :(
He said he loves his turtles and wants to keep them.
I came in yesterday and one came up to me and was gasping for clean air. I don't think they've ate in months
3 turtles- Nemo, Pockets, Nims
Two dogs - Nibbles, Ruby.
Three cats - Eli, Boots, George.
Two donkeys - EllieMay, Dorothy.

Maybe write him a guide to caring for turtles.

Apologize for being so blunt about it but you love turtles and want to see then healthy.

Sounds like everything he does it just wrong.
Maybe if he had facts hed do something about it.

Not feeding then for a month is terrible.

Hell Id be tempted to call the spca, thats animal cruetly
