I'm seriously overwhelmed with caring for my turtle (not to mention the rest of my life). I can not afford to upgrade the tank and filter right now, and she is way too big for the 55 gallon. The sunsun filter still does not start easily, so anytime I clean it, it takes me a good thirty minutes or more to get it going. There is no basking platform that works for a big turtle unless it's custom made, which again, I can't afford and don't have room for. I know my only option is to rehome her, but I can't find anyone to take her, and I've searched for rescues with no luck.

I know I've said all this before, and I just keep struggling on with everything because I don't know what else to do.

Are you offering the entire setup? That might help rehoming her to a school or something.

If you fill it before you start priming, it should only take a few pumps to fill the hose and plug it in, boom running sunsun.
