Here is the newest family member, the baby albino red ear slider sitting with hopefully her later mate the hybino. It is hard to sex them smaller then 3 inches to me however for the most part, the albino has the female indicators and the hybino has the male indicators while utilizing a magnifying glass . I hope this proves out to be a perfect pair. :D

Thanks Steve and yes I got a deal on the albino . A even trade (no cash involved) for the free turtle I received that I had no official legal mate for and doubt that I could of found easily. My friend begged and begged for her after awhile. He has another large hybino male that he placed with her immediately . I told him that I wanted some of her offspring too. They are adorable however I think I need to set up another aquarium. The albino seems to be intimidated by the size of the space and not basking as she should but eating like a champ from the moment she went in.

UPDATE: I think the new albino red ear slider baby is starting to adapt a bit to her basking area. Shortly in the next month or two, the large albinos will be in there outdoor waterland tub leaving the tank for her and the hybino to grow in. I am sure that I will have a few more turtles by then as well. Just trying to get a group ready for future breeding. I figured every few months between pairs will give me mixed ages and morphs to work with on a later date. I enjoy raising them and not just jumping into adults.

   lololol I will tell my sister Kalena that Steve from the forums called her a RES then lolol :P :P :P

They are both so cute. How did you estimated male/female indicators? My lil RES is about two inches. I agree it's special to raise turtles from a young age; it's a lifelong bond!
