well just incase you guys didnt know, i used to have another turtle named donna. she was much bigger than my current turtle. i lost her about 3 months ago, and then i got another one. well when i was taking out the trash cans this morning, i saw her and i was terrified. her eyes were all sunk in and it was gross. she was all skinny. i would have taken some pics for you guys to see, but i was so grossed out.

OMG. That's awful. I'm so sorry :cry:

Did she look ok yesterday? Any idea what happened? Did you find her on the dock or in the water? What did you do with her?

I know even though you had already lost her, it was really hard to see her that way after finding her again. I know it's awful to lose a pet.

G---you mean you found your first turtle, the one that you lost, out by the trash? That's terrible.

I'm glad you don't have pictures--I wouldn't want to see them. I'd bury her in a nice spot, and be glad she's not suffering any more. Sorry to hear this happened.

heres wat i am doing. i am really depresed to see her like that. the first turtle that i lost is the one i am talking about. my new turtle is doing fine. me and my da thought that she must have crawled out from the tree near her list night. so we think she mught be alive. i put her in some water just hight enough so that her nose is still above water. no sings of life. everytime i look at her it make me sad and feel all bad inside. i feel like i could have looked a little longer or atleast done something to help her. i think she is dead, but when i cheacked her tank i have her in, it looks like she threw up but i am not shure.

If you give the legs a gentle tug, is there a response? If so, keep her in some shallow water to get hydrated.

she is all shriveled up and her eyes are sunk into her head. she also looked REALLY skinny. dose this mean that she died of dehydration (if she is dead). dose anyone want me to post a pic? cuse it is really gross. but maby you guys would be able to tell if she is alive or not.

I would not want you to post. I don't think we could tell if she was alive or not by just looking at a picture. Is there a response if you gently tug on a leg? Is she stiff?

she isnt stiff, but she hasnt moved, we think she is alive cuse her body isnt all stiff, but it isnt as flexible as a heathy turtle. no resposes to touching her. and i cant tell if she is breathing or not.

Are the eyes open? Are the eyeballs covered over with any film? (Are they clear?) If so, I'd leave her in shallow water for a bit just in case.

i think her eyes are partly open, and partly closed. her eyes look clear though.
