Just throwing it out there :-) It would be a good idea to get him started on salads and fruit though.

Kevin, wait for a rainy day, dig up a bunch of earth worms, put them in a plastic shoe box with a lot of dirt and leaf litter. Keep it damp. Throw in some greens, and when you need one for your turt, you will have gut loaded worms. I've been doing this for years for my boxies. They will multiply too.

Well Chief Lemon will eat pellets and fish now, but ONLY when I handfeed it to him. He loves fruit but hates veggies...

I had a tiny tiny (just a bit bigger than a quater) boxie at one point. She ate the Zoo-Med food. also We had some "fruity" bearded dragon good I used to mositen down for her, she loved that. And any kind of fruit. Crickets, veggies, but I think her fave was the reptomin for Sisqo the RES lol.
I also gave her the canned box turtle food (I think zoo med makes that too) and she ate it, but it smells pretty bad.

Just thought I'd throw my two cents in.

i keep trying to feed my red eared sliders lettuce and tomatoes but they'll sniff and move on. they wont eat them and if i leave them in for too long, they clog my filter since the lettuce floats and drifts into my filter pipe
