Box Turtle and Tortoise Discussion :: Home Turtle?

I've heard about a turtle that has no cage and can be free to roam your house like a cat or a dog. What kind of turtle/tortoise is it?

pretty sure most of the common grassland tort species should be able to do this. I personally wouldnt be able to let my tortoise have a run of the mill over the house, I would think it would be hard to get a tortoise ot use a litter pan.

It makes my heart happy ^. Haha. But on one forum this guy said his turtle knows that food comes from the fridge, so his turtle will wait by it to get food, and he waits by the bathtub to get a bath. It just sounds like a really awesome pet.
