Hi everybody I am new here and I just want to get to know all of y'all. I've had 3 RES and 1 box turtle in my life, all of them (exept 1 RES) are from the wild they all just come up on our porch it's really weird. I kept them all for about a week the first RES I got when I was 4 for Easter and the smell was to much for my parents so we took it back to Petco the second and third were just from the wild and we set them free after a week but I want another one. I know just about everything about RES so if you you have any questions I would love to answer them

Your best bet at getting a healthy turtle is to find a reputable store or breeder. You could also check the rescue shelters.

hey cool you have a ball python I do to we should make a group for them nah just kidding yah I know about getting it at a petshop or animal shelter its just ehy walk up on our porch and we take care of them for a week and then set them free and you can tell that they are alot healthier than when we found them.

Welcome to the forum! That's pretty cool that you had RES just come to your porch. Do you live near a pond? Were the RES's just hatchlings when they came to your porch or were they full grown? Hmm, you must be a turtle magnet!

Well we had one that was about 3 inches and I can't remember the size of the other one. Then another turtle my friend found in her backyard and she has 3 dogs. Actually my mom found all of them. hehe
