Fight or Play?

So, Rex and Flo seem to be happy with eachother, however occasionally they fight (or what I percieve to be fighting)
Anywho, they put their front feet/fins/flipper things out and shake their feet at one another (almost like they are having a special dance or something)-is this healthy? WHAT IS IT??? I am new to turtles, but I've done a lot of research. Unfortunately none of the web-sights I've been to mention this behaviour.
Also when I lift them out of the water they open their mouths and make a hissing sound-upper resperitory infection? self defense? WHAT!

Help, please!

The fluttering of the nails is a mating dance and/or a territorial dispute. Mine do it sometimes and they've never hurt eachother. Just keep an eye out for agression.

When you pick them up they tuck their heads in really fast, right? The hissing is just the air being forced out of the lungs to make room for the head.

Whew, thank you! I was frightened that the hissing sound was serious. As for the claw thing I'll watch next time.
