Hi there!

My husband and I recently became the new caregivers to a RES who was re-homed to us by friends who were moving to a new apartment and were unable to bring their RES with them. We have experience with caring for somewhat complex animals but are definitely new to the world of RES! I was very excited to find this website and forum and we're already researching and working on expanding and improving the environment for our new addition. We *think* that our RES is a male, and we believe he's 2 1/2 - 3+ years old from the (slightly sketchy) history available. We're working on getting him to an exotic vet ASAP for an initial exam, and are frantically researching to make sure that we provide the best home possible. He only arrived at our home late yesterday so we're just trying to get up to speed as quickly as possible.
