I recently got a red eard slider but realized i was not quit prepared to have a turtle. I have only ever had fuzzies so turtles are new to me. My new lil friend doesnt seem to like being in water tho so im confused as to why that is. I thought they lived the majority of there lives in water. She kind of freaks out. She doesnt have the same reaction when she is out of water wich is what leads me to that conclusion. I let her wonder around because she seems more comfortable with that than the water. I dont know of thats bad idea or if she can even survive outside of water. Her tank is the opposit of what most pl have there turtles in. Instead of the island on water i have a not so deep dish with water in it wich is in her tank. Its deep enough that she can submerge and drink. She doesnt use it tho. Can they survive outside of water,?
