Hi were are new members My wife and I and we just acquired/rescued a 5" RES . we look forward to learning about care and proper environment and food.
We just bought a new 100 gal rubbermaid tub , working on heaters and proper lighting. I purchased a Solar Glo 125w before I found
this site and now it looks like I should have waited. We have a 5000 gal Koi pond and we also have 30 fish tanks of various sizes in our fishroom.
Care of aquatics is not a problem water heating and filtration we understand. Any good info on RES is welcome.

we were told it was female, but I'm not really sure.
