Hi there, I'm new to caring for turtles and I'm concerned about a white spot on its shell. Initially, there were just two spots, but now it seems to be spreading. I'm unsure if it's shell rot, fungus, caused by hard water, or just part of shedding. My turtle has a basking platform and seems to bask normally, although I don't have a UVB light. I do sunbathe it daily, change its water daily, and feed it turtle pellets. Could you please help me identify the issue and recommend immediate treatment? Thank you so much.

Its likely fungus. The best course of treatment would be Silver sulfadiazine cream as it works very fast the first time. In most places, it does require a prescription however. A temporary dry dock area should be setup as well but treatment should only take a few days if treated early.
