HELP!! TURTLE FOUND UPSIDE DOWN IN WATER NO MOVING OR BREATH

HELP!!! I FOUND MY TURTLE TODAY IN THE WATER UPSIDE DOWN AND NOT BREATHING I TRIED TO DO THE CPR THING ON WEBSITE AND NOTHING WORKED. THE TURTLE IS ABOUT AN INCH AND A HALF LONG. IS IT DEAD?

How long have you had it?11 MONTHS

What is the water temperature?76 DEGREE
Did you use a thermometer?YES
Are you using a water heater?NO
How much water is in there? 2 INCHES
Are you using a water conditioner?NO
Are you using any filtration?YES

What is the basking temperature?78-80
Is there a basking light?YES
Is there a basking platform that is easy to climb on?YES
What kind is it or what is it made out of?ROCK
Is there a UVB light?NO

What have you been trying to feed it? SHRIMP AND REPTOMIN PELLETS
When was the last time your turtle ate?YESTERDAY

How big is the tank/pond/enclosure?10 GALLON
Is the tank near a window?NO

It likely drowned because the water was too shallow for it to right itself in.

It looks like megcornell is probably right. Your water should have been AT LEAST 4 inches deep (double the shelll length). Your turtle could not turn himself over with such a low water level.

Sad story, I'm sorry to hear it.

I think a healthy turtle could, since they use their necks to help them turn over.
