My RES was exposed directly to the sunlight for about 15-30 minutes(My mistake). After that when I noticed, it was not moving. I thought it was dead. But, after reading some posts, my wife gave a CPR treatment and then it started moving. It is now moving and swimming, but very weak. It is only sitting on the basking dock and not moving anywhere else. One of its eye is infected I guess. It is showing red colour. I stay in India and it is illegal to pet RES. We don't have a vet also. Please suggest any treatment. Thank you.

I've never heard of this sort of thing. It all seems very strange, as turtles in the wild sit in the sun for hours at a time. Mine sit outside the pond in 100 degree weather. I think there is something else afoot here.

I'd also lay off the Fluorescent light for a bit until this clears up. I agree with Linus... I think something else happened. The eyes and eyelids are sensitive, perhaps this was a physical injury?

Now it is moving around fine and also eating.. But, the red spot in the eye is still visible.. What could have happened? Please suggest any medication.

I can't really suggest any meds without knowing what happened. I'd carefully keep an eye on it and make sure the water is as clean as possible - and Chlorine free.
