Turtle choking on food

Didn't know if I should post here or in general care, so do move it if its more suitable elsewhere.

Anyway, I gave my turtle some watermelon today, but it seems that she gobbled it all up at once. When I came back she was squirting water from her nose and then threw all of the watermelon in the water. After that when it seemed she was ok again, I gave her some pellets and she ate them and seemed unfazed by it all.

So I guess my question is whether I should be worried there's still some food lodged in her throat or water in her lungs or etc, or if this is more common than I realize and should not be worried much by it...

Thank you :)

She should be fine now. Some RES are very voracious and this will happen. Now you know she's like that (my female RES is like that too), you can be a bit more careful. Use small amounts or spread out the food/treat.
