I’ve had my RES for a little over a year now, and recently noticed she has some white spots on her shell. It is not soft and it doesn’t stink, but I’m worried nonetheless. I don’t know if this is Shell Rot, or something else. I’m relatively new to keeping RES, so any help would be appreciated. April is around 3 years old, and her shell measures around 5”. The water temperature is at 80F, she has a basking spot with a UVB light. I read somewhere that this is caused by incorrect lighting or poor water quality, but she has a place to bask and I do water changes monthly with media changes weekly. I’m not sure what could have caused this, but I want her to be okay and for this not to happen again. Thank you.

(I tried to attach an image, but it said the file is too big. If anyone knows how I can post a picture of her shell, please tell me. Thank you!)

White spots are usually fungus. You can email me the pic or use a 3rd party host like imgur.com for uploading the image.
