Hey, so I've had my RES for about 4 years, hes in a 75 gallon tank. Plenty of room to swim as well as an area to bask in. I have both UVA and UVB lamps. There is a strong filter and a water heater (around 75-78 degrees) . I usually do a deep clean on the tank every 3-4 weeks. The environment conditions haven't changed anytime recently. He eats normally and sleeps. Basks occasionally but doesn't seem to as much since winter started. Everything seems normal but his shell is changing. So that's why I'm posting this new topic. The RES has recently seemed to develop some type of shiney look to his shell. I'm not sure if I should be concerned and take him to a vet. Or if this is regular. I just want to make sure that my turtle is healthy and if he isn't then I want to know a way to help fix this. Here are some pics: http://imgur.com/a/PAzovP4
I can post more later if needed. He swims fast so sorry if they are blurry.
