Hello I am looking for advice on what to do for my turtle who has an injured chin. I've had my 4 turtles for 10 years and today while they were out of their pond for basking time I noticed one of my girls has a cut on her chin. This is new territory for me. Over 10 years of having them they have never been injured and I have never seen them fight. They do like to stack on top of each other when they are basking. Any help and advice would be appreciated

Can you post a picture of the injury? For most minor wounds, dry docking will help heal things the quickest. Any idea how it happened? Are they all females?

I tried to add a pic but it was to big. I'll try again. I'm not sure how it happened and I have 3 females and 1 male.

I would try dry docking, maybe dab the area with some diluted Betadine after you take the turtle out. Make sure she's comfortable in the drydock area and does not try to climb out, which could make it worse (rubbing the chin against surfaces).

Ok I'll keep her out of their pond and keep a close eye on her. Thank you so much
