Giving Medication Shots?

I'm a little nervous of giving my turtle antibotic shots...I tried to do it..but seems like the skin is really thick...

are you giving it where the vet showed you??? The skin will be thick our large sideneck bent the needle when he got his shot. use a little pressure and go slow

I had the same reaction when I had to give my turtle shots for an RI. If you aim between the "scales" on the turtles arm and give a little pressure, the needle pops under the skin and you can give the injection-- it just takes some getting used to.
But, the resistance is normal, don't worry about it. I hope your turtle feels better!

BlueDoraemon: From what I've read and heard, it's one of the forearms in between one of his scales. Hope someone else can give you a definite answer.
