im in japan, but good thing the PH tablets are labeled by PH level. 7.0, 6.0, 5.0 etc etc....
what is the recommended PH level for RES? i tried to search PH but it says too many results for "PH"
so i tried Acidity and here i am.

that's a weird suggestion. i used to keep aquariums of betta fish and i've never heard about that. they're fairly sensitive to every single possible water condition, so i just used aquarium water conditioners.
as for turtles, i didn't think it was nessacery unless the water was ridiculously acid or basic

I would stick to using natural stuff to raise/lower PH than chemicals. Use crushed coral to raise. My cichlids needed a higher PH so i had a stocking placed some in it and put the stocking on top of the sponge in the HOB filter.

To lower use Peat moss, you can place that in a stocking as well to cut down the messiness of it.
