I know that it is fairly common for turtles to twitch while basking, but Gustave (My two-year old YBS) has been exhibiting excess twitching recently. He closes one eye, convulses, and claws at his head.

He is generally a very relaxed basker, never exhibiting more than one twitch. Has anyone had this occur with this much frequency?

I notice that when my turtle is shedding skin he is twitchier than normal... lol

yeah, Touche does that, it's like their skin is super itchy and they can't help but rub their face and neck.
