I use a whisper 40 gallon pump. It does 127 gph. I had a bunch of goldfish in with my red ear slider and the water was cloudy was told its probably because of the gold fish so I got rid of them all and the water got a little more clear. But not as much as I'd like. I do water changes and everything. So was thinking maybe its the pump? Anyone know of a canister for 40 gallon tank that isn't to expensive. And doesn't use to much power.

The least expensive name brand canisters seem to be penn plax cascade series. If you've got that tank filled up, you will probably want the Cascade 1000.

I read some reviews on the sunsun hw-603b for the 40 gallon. It only cost around 30$. Have you heard of this brand? Cause if the reviews are true and its a good brand. I'd much rather spend that then almost 100$ after shipping g and everything for the one you showed. But I'll do what I have to

Sunsun has been around for a good while and most of their products are knock off Fluval designs. A common issue is leaking, so I would only buy from a place where you would be able to return it. Finding replacement parts might also be difficult.

Well I ordered it. I can send it back if there's any problems within 30 days and If not I'm sure I can fix whatever problems that may happen. I'm pretty good with mechanical things. I ordered one that is for 75 gallon tank. That should be good enough since I don't fill my 40 gallon all the way

58$ 2 day free shipping. For 75 gallon 265gph canister can't pass that up even if it has a leak or something I'm sure I can fix it
