Red spot on turtle shell

I have a almost 2 year old red eared slider, Koby. He's currently shedding his skin and scutes so I often check on his progress but I noticed a red spot that looks like blood on his shell.

He has a 90 gallon tank, proper basking area which he uses, normal water temperature and pH and I feed him once a day with turtle pallets and dried shrimp. However, I do not have a water filter for him but I do clean his tank every 2 days since he's shedding quite a lot.

I'm not sure that red spot is normal since he's shedding or is it something more serious than that.

P.S I tried to upload a photo but the size was too big and I'm a new user so I have no idea how to fix that

Red isn’t usually normal. You can use a 3rd party site like imgur.com to upload the photo or email it to me — redearslider@gmail.com
