My red ear slider has been missing for almost a week. My best guess about her whereabouts is that she has burrowed somewhere in the garden. She has done that before but had returned after about 3 or 4 days. We are likely to move houses soon and I really need to find her. But the garden is too big to dig up. How can I get her to come out?

Just keep looking, non-stop. Check under and between even the smallest spaces as she might want cover, or even get stuck. Check along, fences, walls and perimeters. I also think the best time might be early in the morning... before sunrise since it will be very quiet and hopefully she will roam around.
