Growth problems

I have two red eared slider. I got one in September(Lucky) and the other one in October(Fruity). Lucky is almost 2x the size of fruity. I suspected that they were fighting for resources but they eat around the same amount; only that lucky eats their food while it’s floating and Fruity waits until it drops to the bottom. They’re usually always on top of each other when they are not actively swimming, even while basking. Their diet consists of freeze dried shrimp, mealworms, crickets, and pellets, but mostly the freeze dried food because that is what they prefer. Why is Fruity not growing? Should separate my turtles?

How long (in inches) are they? Lucky is easily out competing Fruity and this is not unusual. I would just feed them separately for now, though depending on behavior and genders, you might have to permanently separate them in the future.
