Is there anything like that he would have been able to get ahold of and eat?

Wierd. Is it poop-like or is it some kind of foriegn matter? I guess if it comes off and he's eating and behaving normally then it's nothing to worry about. Unless it could be some kinda of parasite, a worm or something.

Ive read a post like this before, but there were no answers for it. No one knew or responded... it was a white string coming out.

What has he been eating? Has he ever done this before? Could he have accidentally injested something like a hair? Are you sure it's actually poop---how long is it? Can you post a pic of it?

Maybe it was a piece of shedded skin that was coming off of the tail?

I hesitate to ask this, but what happened to it? If you see anything like that again, can you get a pic of it?

I've heard one or two cases in which it was a parasite, or the remains of a parasite. But it could be anything... collect a sample if you could.

Maybe you should save the white stuff in a ziplock bag, take the turtle to the vet and have them take a look at him and the white stuff..It could be a parasite?..It doesnt look normal.

Whoa, that does not look right! You should get that turtle to a vet. Put that stringy thing in a container or baggy and refridgerate it until you can bring it to the vet.

well, the only place that will look at her this late in the night will charge $165... they wouldn't even want to help me over the phone... [---]...
I'll wait and take her to the vet tomorrow morning... I'm off...
I'm so scared, she looks fine and is acting normal though...
