Habitat - Indoor :: Lighting, UVB, and shedding

I switch my PowerSun out every six months (vet recommended idea) rather than listening to the packaging. Just as a tip.

I got mine about two months ago. I know she basks.

Oh Sheldon basks too. My vet just said that after six months the bulb wouldn't put out as much UVB and UVA as she would like. I can tell just by the glow of the light after six months that it's time for a change.

@ljapa - she would still benefit from being outside, even if she doesn't bask in the sun the whole time.
