I really like it a lot, and just make sure you rinse, rinse, rinse before adding. ( I did mine in the kitchen sink with partial warm water) It will still murk up the water some for a day but it's so pretty once it's all settled. I used to worry Skimmer would eat it, but he only picks at it here and there looking for bits and pieces of leftovers

How is cleaning poop off of it? My turtles are a mess, they leave a lot of little bits here and there all over the tank bottom.

I do use a kitchen strainer (a fine wire one) every once in a while.
