I really like it a lot, and just make sure you rinse, rinse, rinse before adding. ( I did mine in the kitchen sink with partial warm water) It will still murk up the water some for a day but it's so pretty once it's all settled. I used to worry Skimmer would eat it, but he only picks at it here and there looking for bits and pieces of leftovers :)

How is cleaning poop off of it? My turtles are a mess, they leave a lot of little bits here and there all over the tank bottom.

I wouldn't know the answer to that because mine eats his :oops:

I do use a kitchen strainer (a fine wire one) every once in a while.
