Habitat - Indoor :: Basement stock tank question

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

I will soon be building a 300 gallon stock tank setup in my basement and was wondering if any of you that currently have them have ever had a problem with moisture. My house has had mold problems in the past. The tank will be sitting on concrete and I am not worried about leakage. I am more worried about the air becoming too think or having too much moisture.

If you have a large stock tank in your basement have you had this problem? If so are there ways to combat this such as a dehumidifier?

I just want to be sure the large amount of water that will be down there won't cause the air too become too thick or cause anymore mold issues.

Thanks!

I don't have one but I do have 100 gallons of fish tank in my basement. I've never had a problem with moisture from the evaporation. A dehumidifier will just encourage quicker evaporation and you'll be topping off your tank more frequently. I think the key for your basement would be good ventilation.
