I have my aquarium next to my window. If I open my blinds while the sun is out can my RES's get their daily UVB rays from the window or should I possibly invest in a UVB bulb.

Invest in the UVB Bulb. The UVB rays can not travel through your window.

Thats what I thought. I will plan on getting one tomorrow ASAP. Hopefully PetsMart won't be out of them this time.
